The deadline to register for Spectacular, Spectacular! is quickly approaching! Sign-up now, before October 3rd, and receive a $5 dollar discount on your registration fee.

(If you've already registered--don't despair! You have two options: a $5 refund--cash money OR a $10 credit toward another class! Call Hodgepodge (931-647-0444) to register for your extra class--don't do this one online--the shopping cart isn't set-up for this discount.

Also, you'll be entered in a drawing for a $100 shopping spree at Hodgepodge!

See my Hodgepodge blog for more ways to win.

Deadline is Oct 14th! Don't wait until it's too late.

this will happen

thank you all for your patience and interest. this isn't as easy as it looks!

we are almost ready to go live with registration for the crafting even of the year. we are waiting for a few more details on a few more classes and believe me it's worth the wait.

in addition to the classes i've already told you about, we've got a class on Silver Soldering and a class on creative journaling. You can choose to learn how to make a mixed media lamp shade and a vintage inspired Advent Wreath. There are several other classes in the works and we're just waiting for some of the details.

A heaping, HUGE debt of gratitude to all of our instructors for dedicating their time and efforts to this event. We are going to have such a great time, I can hardly stand it!

Standby for more information, too, on Jenni Bowlin's special sessions on Friday night. She will offer two classes in our vintage inspired theme, plus, she will have some of her creative and imaginative inventory for sale as one of vendors.

Thanks again for your patience!

a surprise visit

I was so surprised to have Michelle Mathey drop by today. Seems it's her 19th wedding anniversary, so she and her husband, Corey, decided to stop by Hodgepodge on their way to Nashville to celebrate.
She was, naturally, wonderful--easy to talk to and dutifully complimentary about the space for Spectacular, Spectacular (which goes a long way with me, but you'd still need a pass to ride the bus!).
I am really so flattered by the sheer talent we have assembled for this event. Michelle and all of the others! We're going to have a great time and learn so much!
Have a great holiday weekend.

Just make sure you've set the dates aside--not only will we have some excellent classes, but we'll also have some outstanding vendors. You'll find some unique creations and vintage inspired displays around! Don't miss it!

You will find more details about these class options, as well as our new instructors and vendors, in a few days.

What is it?

Paige & I did the OSC event Wednesday on post that was a great way to introduce the military community to what Hodgepodge & ARTifacts are all about. During the day, I got the question "what is this Spectacular thing?"

When I came home, I realized we jumped right into it with the classes we will have with no explanation. So - here you go!

We will start out on Friday night with a party and special shopping opportunities for about 8 vendors who will set up their items to sell just for this event. Special shopping opportunities means first pick of from their many one of a kind items. Only those who register for our event will be allowed to shop for this special event. And food! Fancy, fun and frilly bits for all!

The next morning, we start bright and early (no worries, we will have the coffee!) with our first round of classes. We will have 4 sessions throughout the day, offering over 16 classes in all. Classes of all kinds: Mixed Media Art Projects, unique vintage inspired jewelry for beginners, journal making, altered books and much, much more.

This event is open to all! Local, far away and in between. We have hotel rooms reserved at the River View Inn - just call tell them your with the Spectacular Spectacular event, and the dates you will be staying and you will get the rate of $79, plus tax, per night.

All in all, it will be a wonderful opportunity to learn some new techniques from some fabulously talented individuals and spend time with people with your similar interests. You'll find an abundance of inspiration at the hands of our instructors and vendors.
